I decided not to consolidate them but rather to put them on a graduated repayment plan. It frees up money but doesn't increase the time of the loan. Granted, it does make the overall payment more, but it's doable in two years for the increased payment.
Time will tell....
Anyway, it's time to go home and make dinner. No money spent today on my end. DH on the other hand is buying my birthday gift. I wonder what it is and what it will cost....

I'm considering consolidating my student loans. The payments will be less and will free up more to pay higher interest debt with higher balances. However, I know in the long run the payment to the company will be higher. I don't really know what to do...at the rate we are going, the payments will last us for another 8 years on credit cards alone. The only issue I have though is what company do I consolidate my alternative loans with? There aren't many companies out there that are consolidating alternative student loans. Anyway, I'm also going to transferring the credit card higher balance to 0%. It's the only way we'll see relief from a high interest rate and say goodbye to the debt in two years.

I got upset about nothing....I found my credit card and statements in the file box where they are supposed to be. However, they were behind the thick folder of student loan statements so they were easy to miss. Thanks for all of the support and advice everyone. I appreciate it.

I lost my credit card statements and credit card somewhere in my parents house or my own apartment during the move. I can't seem to find them and I'm beating myself up for it. I'm debating if I should cancel the card. but I've been watching the account for months and nothing new has been charged. My guess is the disorganization down in my parent's apartment is to blame. I am so organized with my bills and it was in a box, but my parent's taxes were miscalculated or something was put with mine that they had to find it in the same box. I'm sure it's sitting somewhere I can't find. I guess it's time to clean!! I really hope I find them. I have two cards floating...the new card and the old card. One is expired and the other was never activated. I really really hope I find that stuff. I really am beating myself up for this....
On a brighter note, DH and I get to pick up our wedding proofs tonight!
There goes another $500.00 and Saturday is another $300 to finish preserving my dress. Then, we are officially done with wedding chores.
Total spent today thus far is $3.40 from Nov. budget.
